After some time had passed, Antonio and Abigail called Rebeca to their presence in the sitting room and reprimanded her for stealing. Rebeca told them that she did not care what with what they did to her as immediately Salvador entered the house, he would kill them as he did Isabel to get the fortune.

The conversation was interrupted when the maid informed the household that there was a taxi outside. Antonio wondered who had called the taxi and Rebeca informed him that she had. She went to a nearby wall and removed her packed luggage from behind and informed everyone that she would not wait to be thrown out like a dog, but instead she would leave herself.

Valeria asked Rebeca to wait for her as she would leave with her to be with her. (Valeria was trying to be kind to Rebeca as she could not imagine poor Rebeca all alone with no one to support or depend on). Rebeca told Valeria to forget that she ever had an Aunt as she (Rebeca) did not want to be tagged by someone as useless as her. Again, she warned the household to be worried about Salvador when he came back as he would murder them all as he had done Isabel and stormed of.

Outside, as Rebeca was leaving the house, she went to the taxi and glanced back at the house one last time, only to see a vision of Salvador/Pedro standing and glaring at her from the door. The taxi driver interrupted Rebeca and asked her if she wanted him to help her put her baggage at the trunk of the car and Rebeca agreed. She entered the taxi’s back seat and waited as the taxi driver put her luggage at the trunk and sat himself in front at the drivers sit.

The next thing Rebeca heard and saw was the original Pedro Jose Donoso turning around and asking her where she wanted to go! Rebeca was horrified and gazed at Pedro in silent shock!

The driver called out to Rebeca and asked her again where she wanted to go, and Rebeca’s vision became clear and again she saw the driver instead of Pedro. Rebeca told the driver that she wanted to go anywhere as long as it was far away from the Donoso house (maybe in an attempt to escape Pedro’s ghost).The taxi drove away, as Rebeca looked at the Donoso house one last time.

As the days passed, Vicky, Abigail, Antonio, Simon and the rest of the household discovered about Walter’s hideous act.

Antonio went to visit Angela and his son. Angela wondered why Abigail and Simon had not come as usually they always came to visit her and the baby. Antonio lied that they were busy. Angela reminded Antonio that there was always Walter to take care of the household, and demanded to know the truth. She told Antonio that she always knew when he was lying to her.

Antonio gave up as he knew Angela would find out sooner or later, so he told Angela that many changes had happened since she had left, (and behind the scenes told her of Isabel’s death, Salvador’s condition, about Rebeca and Walters theft attempt, Walter’s murder attempt and departure of Rebeca and Walter from the house.

After some time, Angela arrived at the house with her new son Pedro Antonio. Everyone (the maids, Vicky, Valeria, Simon and Abigail) welcomed her back home.

Gaetana later went to visit Salvador in the hospital and wept when she saw him lying motionless on the bed with a respirator. Gaetana wept as she had earlier been told (off the screen) that Salvador would remain a vegetable for ever. As Gaetana gazed at Salvador, and silently wept. Angela, Antonio and Simon came in and asked Gaetana what she was doing in the hospital.

But given their knowledge of Salvador/Pedro’s relationship with Gaetana, they understood. A grief stricken Gaetana left Salvador while Angela remained in the hospital room with Salvador. (I am not sure, but Salvador made a movement in this scene in his hospital bed, perhaps to signify that he was not going to die.

One day, Abigail went to look for Valeria in the house as she needed her. After failing to find Valeria, she asked Vicky where Valeria was as she needed her. Vicky told Abigail that she did not know where Valeria was. Abigail told Vicky that maybe Valeria was playing with baby Pedro in Angela’s room. As Abigail made her way to the stairs, Vicky interrupted Abigail and told her that Valeria would not be found there as she had left earlier with her suitcases.

Abigail wondered why Vicky had not tried to stop Valeria. Vicky informed Abigail that Valeria had already packed her bags and she being as stubborn as a mule had left the house, but she had said that she would call to tell Abigail goodbye.

Immediately the phone rang, and Abigail picked up the receiver and it was Valeria. Abigail told Valeria that she did not have to leave as they considered her family and that they did not consider her to be as bad as her Aunt Rebeca. Valeria (who is shown to be in a restaurant counter), informed Abigail that she had left to prove to herself that she could make it on her own. She thanked Abigail for being so good to her and wished the entire family a good life.

Later, when the family was having dinner, Simon refused to join Abigail, Antonio and Angela and they knew it was because he was sad about Valeria leaving. Simon walked Azur, the dog, outside into the night and told him that when Valeria was living in the house, he had a chance with her, but now he had no chance with her as she had left and nobody knew where she was.
