Back at Gaetana’s house, Gaetana was worried about Salvador/Pedro, as she had not heard from him for sometime. She had previously assumed to Lupe and Camillo that maybe in the trip, Salvador/Pedro had lost the body to the original Salvador and that was why he had not contacted her, and she had to find him as she was both Salvador’s only friend. Gaetana was also thinking of giving back the house and bar to Evaristo, who was the owner of the house and who also, had a big crush on her.

The following day, Valeria was feeling guilty of Isabel’s death and was sitting outside but was being comforted by Vicky. Vicky reminded Valeria that at least Salvador was alive in hospital although in critical condition. Valeria continued feeling guilty but thanked Vicky and Abigail for their support and hinted that maybe time had come for her to leave the house.

Back in the house, Antonio mentioned how the doctors had thought Salvador might not make it. At least by the time Angela came back from the hospital with their son, Isabel would have already have been buried.

Walter and Rebeca were miserable about Isabel’s death. Walter told Rebeca that they (referring to the household and the police) had let Salvador kill Isabel. Rebeca could not believe that the ‘degenerate’ Salvador had survived, and wished he had died too. If only she could do something to Salvador.

Walter told Rebeca that since Isabel was no longer alive to protect them, they would soon be thrown out of the house. So, they had to make the best of the situation and leave the house, with some things to help them live their lives as he deserved much for serving the Donoso household for all those many years.

Rebeca initially pretended to be scandalized; there was no way she was going to steal! Didn’t Walter know that she was a lady? She could never stoop that low. Walter told Rebeca that it was time they put pretenses aside. They both new that the reason Rebeca was so sad was not because of Isabel’s death, but because of Isabel’s financial abilities and jewelery. Besides it was time for them to leave the household before Salvador/Pedro came and made their lives more miserable, as Isabel was no longer with them to protect them and they needed money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

Rebeca agreed to everything and she and Walter went to their separate rooms and packed their belongings hastily, they then went straight to Isabel’s room where they overturned everything until they found Isabel’s jewelry which they greedily divided among themselves. Walter went to Antonio and Angela’s room where he took Angela’s jewelry, during which time Rebeca found some more jewelery in Isabel’s cabinet and stuffed it in her bag.

When Walter came back (He did not tell Rebeca that he had secretly stolen Angela’s jewelry and had stuffed it in his pocket), he asked Rebeca if she had found more jewelery to which Rebeca lied and said that she had not discovered any more jewelry. Both Walter and Rebeca looked at each other suspiciously.

Rebeca excused herself and went to the bathroom closet to get more of Isabel’s jewelry momentarily leaving her suitcase with Walter. When Rebeca was out of sight, Walter quickly opened her suitcase and stole some of the jewelery Rebeca had recovered. (Thieves in crime, stealing from each other!). Rebeca arrived again and Walter pretended that he was just closing his suitcase and Rebeca then closed her suitcase without looking inside and again the both of them looked at each other suspiciously.

Gaetana discovered from Camillo that Salvador had been seriously injured in the car accident and was in hospital. She wanted to go and see him but Camillo and Lupe advised her not to, so as not to create problems between her and the Donoso family.

The maids alerted the household (Abigail, Valeria and Vicky) that Walter and Rebeca had turned the rooms upside down as if searching for something. The dog Azur, could be heard barking tying to prevent Walter and Rebeca from leaving the house.

Valeria tried to stop Rebeca and Walter but Rebeca insulted her and told her that Valeria was nothing to her and that she was leaving. Abigail, Vicky, the maids, Antonio and Simon arrived and told Walter and Rebeca that before they left, their bags had to be checked so verify that they had not stolen anything.

Rebeca pretended to be insulted as she was a lady and could not steal anything. A struggle subsided where I think Walter drew out his gun (I cannot clearly remember) but was subdued by Simon and Antonio and they all went into the house.

Rebeca’s and Walter’s suitcases were checked in front of the whole household and they were found to have the jewelry. Antonio told Walter to empty his pockets and Walter hesitantly did so and they saw Angela’s jewelry which made Antonio upset. Walter and Rebeca were sent to their rooms as Antonio and Abigail thought of the most appropriate way to deal with them.

Rebeca went to her room sad and Walter went to his room, cursing Salvador for the situation that he had left them in after supposedly killing off Isabel.

Back in Gaetana’s bar, Matilda was seen dancing with her husband. It looked as if the two had reconciled after the breakup. The bar did not have as many people as before. Gaetana was still sad about Salvador’s condition and not being able to see him and was still thinking of closing down the bar and giving the house back to Evaristo. She assumed Matilda would soon be moving in with her husband and admitted she would miss Matilda.

Abigail and Antonio called in Walter. They had mercy on him and had decided not to call the police. Instead, Walter was given a large amount of money for his severance pay and was told to pack his belongings and leave the house. On his way to go to his room to pack his belongings, Walter met Rebeca on the corridor and told her that he had been asked to leave the house and that they had given him his severance pay.

Rebeca told Walter that at least he was lucky he was going with some money, and that the amount of money he was given was more than generous. Walter agreed that the amount of money that he had been given was more than generous but it would only help him in the short while, but he could not live the rest of his life on it.

Rebeca reminded Walter that the amount he had was better as the police could have been called and he would have gone to jail. Besides at least he was leaving with something, she would be thrown out like a dog with no money to her name.

Walter suddenly lightened up as an idea crept into his mind. He told Rebeca that he did not care if he went to jail for a good purpose. He tore up his severance pay check and Rebeca looked at him as if he had gone mad. Walter happily marched into his room and upset the entire contents of his suitcase looking for something, until he found it. His gun!!
